My wife and I went to Italy, Greece, France, Spain and Croatia on a recent cruise, and as mentioned in this post we didn't really get a bunch of souvenirs except for a few immediate family members. Personally the only souvenir I got from the trip was a t-shirt – and about 2500 photos that I took while we were there. I know I'll cherish those photos forever, so I'm glad I spent the money on a nice camera. :)

Nice. A friend of mine mentioned that we should consider traveling to Italy next year. Don't they use the Euro? Either way, I like the tip on using foreign currency as souvenirs. Sounds like an excellent way to save money. No pun intended.
